Joe Randall Salge, 72, of May, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Brownwood, Texas. A viewing will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at Brownwood Funeral Home beginning at 2pm until 4pm.

Joe was born on March 31, 1953, in Winters, Texas, to Otto and Emma Lucille Salge. A proud Texan with a big heart and an easy smile, Joe lived a full life doing what he loved most—spending time outdoors and making music. He was an avid fisherman, loved the freedom of riding motorcycles, and had a deep passion for music. He played a 5-string bass guitar and shared his talent as a member of a band, bringing joy to those around him through rhythm and song.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Emma Lucille Salge; his brother, Jimmy Leon; and his sister, Teresa Lynn.

He is survived by his children: sons Joe Salge Jr., Mark Caywood, Jeremy Salge and his wife Bridgette, and Caleb Salge; daughters Heather Hyman and her husband Jack Hyman Jr., and Jennifer Holloway. He also leaves behind his siblings: brothers Robert Salge, Michael Salge and wife Phyllis; and his sister Deborah Baugh.

Joe’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. His love for music and life’s simple pleasures will not be forgotten.

Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at brownwoodfuneralhome.net
