Crappie are fair to 11 inches on minnows and jigs in 18-25 feet on deeper large docks with brush on the main lake and on scattered brush piles in 8-18 feet. White bass are fair to 2 pounds on crankbaits out of the lights at night with some schooling early and late. Catfish are fair on cut shad, nightcrawlers and chicken livers on the main lake flats. Anticipate increased boater traffic this weekend as we celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day.

LAKE CISCO

Crappie are excellent to 14 inches on minnows in 8-15 feet under docks in Rattlesnake Cove on the right side going in. Hybrid bass are good to 6 pounds on squarebill crankbaits in the lighted docks. LAKE O.H. IVIE

Flipping and pitching by is improving better in channel swings in creeks and main rivers and heavy cover 2-8 feet next to deeper water. Crappie bite is good with some limits reported on minnows and small jigs. Most crappie are suspended around bigger tree stumps or next to a river ledge 5-18 feet depending on the depth of the trees. A few catfish are also being reported on a variety of baits in 12 ft or less with cheese baits and chicken liver. White bass are good in the lights at night. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.
