The City of Brownwood shared the following information on social media Thursday:
Angie Dees, Program Director of the Brownwood Senior Citizens Center, recently presented at the National Council on Aging’s Age + Action Conference in Arlington, Virginia. Her presentation focused on the role of social marketing and community partnerships in sustaining senior nutrition programs in Texas.
Drawing from the Developing Innovative Nutrition Experiences (DINE) in Texas Project, led by Texas A&M’s Public Policy Research Institute, the session shared strategies to increase participation, secure resources, and support seniors’ well-being.
Under Angie’s leadership, the City of Brownwood has implemented programs that help local seniors access nutritious meals, stay socially connected, and improve their quality of life.
