The Brownwood Art Center is hosting a free public reception for the Plants, Animals, People exhibit, this Thursday July 3, from 5-7 pm at 215 Fisk in downtown. The show includes paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.
The exhibit continues through August 20, and regular gallery hours are 2-6 pm, Mon.-Fri. Gallery admission is always free.
Brownwood Art Association President Brad Bradley notes the universality of the theme of living things. “People have been recording and portraying themselves and the life around them since ancient times, so we wanted to encourage artists to use their unique style to have fun with the possibilities of such a broad subject.”
