Sylvia Lynn McClung, age 59, of Brownwood, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at home. Visitation will be held from 4 until 6PM on Sunday, June 29 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral services for Sylvia will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 30 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Sylvia was born on December 25, 1965 to Harold and Hope McClung in Brownwood. She attended school in Brownwood and became and friend to many. Sylvia was a lively, spirited trendsetter. These qualities led Sylvia to high school sports where she excelled in Volleyball, basketball, and FCA. When Sylvia graduated from high school, she attended DeVry University and enthusiastically entered the workforce. Sylvia was happiest when the family gathered for the holidays. Her laughter was contagious when she was surrounded by her sisters and brother, nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Sylvia enjoyed cooking, barbeques, camping, and crafts which she called treasures. Sylvia never met a stranger! She always said, “That’s my friend.” Sylvia will be missed by her family and friends.

Sylvia is survived by her mom, Hope McClung of Brownwood; her sisters, Lisa Cuellar and husband Abel of Round Rock, Tanna McClung of Brownwood; brother, Michael McClung and wife Kate of River Oaks; and sister Renee Hull and husband Ken of Brownwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Monica Hope McClung; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ballejo; her dad, Harold E. McClung; her grandfather, Joe McClung; and her grandmother, Grace McClung.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be shared with the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
