Multiple prison sentences of at least 10 years handed down in 35th District Court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

  • Tonya Lee Howell aka Tonya Lee Mason, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 35 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Howell, pled guilty to the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to 25 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Also, Howell, on probation for the felony offense of Theft was revoked and sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Robert Gray Hallum, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 30 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Hallum, pled guilty to the felony offense of Injury to Disabled Individual and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Also, Hallum, pled guilty to the felony offense of Felon in Possession of Firearm and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • James Michael Bailey, pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to 30 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Jerry Don Head, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 25 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Alisabel Lopez, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Abraham Dancy, pled guilty to the felony offense of Felon in Possession of a Firearm was sentenced to 9 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Raul Antonio Lopez aka Raul Antonio Lopez Argueta, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Against Public Servant was revoked and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Institutional Division.
  • Matthew Clayton Starr, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and was sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
