May Real Estate Prices Higher, Sales Down Slightly

Real estate sales in Brown County in May were down slightly, compared to May 2024, while the median price had a double-digit increase in terms of percent.  This information and more was released last week by the Heartland Association of Realtors.  Details below.

Median Price:  $257,500 – up 19.8%

Median Price per Square Foot:  $147.69 – up 15.1%

Closed Sales:  44 – down 2.2%

Active Listings:  222 – up 11.6%

Months of Inventory:  6.7 – up 1.1 month

Days on Market:  71 – up 27 days

Days to Close:  36 – up 10 days

Total Days:  107 – up 37 days

Median Home Size:  1,844 square feet

Median Year Built:  1999

Closing Price/Original List Price:  94.0%

Price Distribution:

less than $100,000:  11.4%

$100,000 – 199,999:  25.0%

$200,000 – 299,999:  22.7%

$300,000 – 399,999:  18.2%

$400,000 – 499,999:  11.4%

$500,000 and above:  11.4%
