Ruby Alldredge

On June 17, 2025, Ruby Alldredge, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend departed this earthly life and went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 92.She was born in Mullin, TX on March 1, 1933 to William Jefferson and Beulah Sanders. She graduated from Mullin High School in 1951.

Ruby married the love of her life, Garland “Huck” Alldredge on June 30, 1951 in Goldthwaite, TX. They made several moves before they settled in Mullin in 1963. She graduated from nursing school in 1965 and worked at the Childress Hospital and clinic for 22 years. She began a new career in 1988 as the Activity Director of Hillview Nursing Home that lasted for 15 years.

Some of the things she loved best in life were being a wife and wonderful caretaker. She shared her love for others by nursing and then by being the Activity Director at the nursing home. She loved planning activities for all who lived there and making everyone feel welcome. She was very active at Mullin First Baptist Church for many years and loved the Women’s Ministry and her Sunday School class. She also shared her love through cooking for family and friends and rarely attended an event without brownies or banana pudding in hand.

Ruby is survived by her son, Mike Alldredge and wife Lisa of Zephyr; son, Terry Alldredge and wife Darlene of Keithville, LA; daughter, Thresea Williams and husband Larry Joe of Brownwood; Lori Calder and husband Shawn of Mullin; grandchildren, Dewey Coy and wife Candy of San Antonio; Jason Coy and wife Veronica of Snyder; Stephanie Patterson and Sreeni Sharma of Round Rock; Jenny Smith and husband Tom of San Antonio; Jeremy Alldredge of Ft. Worth; Hailey Williams and Jamal Hoosier of Brownwood; Shae Williams and June of Austin; Lane Calder and Nikki Perrine of St.Cloud, Florida ; Abby Calder and Stephen Murphy of Early ; sister in law, Velda Sanders; and sister in law, Mary Leigh Kirby; nine great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and especially her cousin, Sandy, who was a constant companion and loving supporter in so many ways

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her siblings: Prentice, Jack, Bill & Glynn Sanders, her sisters; Daisy Bolyes, and Lucy Jenke; daughter-in-law, Billie Alldredge; and great grandson, Ethan Coy.

She leaves a legacy of love that will live forever.

Visitation was Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home, Goldthwaite, Texas. Services were held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel, Goldthwaite, Texas. Interment followed at Oakview Cemetery, Mullin, Texas.
