Tyler Wayne Massey, age 26, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Brownwood. He was born on January 30, 1999, to Cecil Massey and Marsha Evans.

Tyler was a bright, happy soul who could light up any room with his warm smile. He never met a stranger and was truly loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Tyler’s heart of gold and cheerful spirit left a lasting impression on friends, family, and all those he encountered.

One of Tyler’s greatest joys was spending time with his friends. He cherished late nights playing video games with his brothers and uncle and had a lifelong love for watching wrestling. Those simple, happy moments defined the heart of who Tyler was — fun-loving, loyal, and always surrounded by people who cared about him.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Marsha Massey, and stepfather, Walter Brummett; his father, Cecil Massey; his sister, Michelle Mendez, and husband, Jacob; brothers, Jonathan Massey and Tyler Brummett; aunt, Amy Brummett; uncle, Leonard “Lenny” Evans; nephew, Dean Mendez; cousin, Lilly Evans; his beloved grandmother, Polly “Nanny” Massey; his girlfriend Sharla Collins; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Tyler is welcomed into Heaven by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Marleen Evans; paternal grandfather, Wayne Massey; uncle, Ronnie Massey; and his cousin, Ariel (Aguirre) Martinez.

Tyler’s memory will forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved him.

Service arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
