Shirley Ann Goodson, age 72, of Early passed away June 10, 2025 while hospitalized in San Angelo. Family will receive friends at Heartland Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, June 13th, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. The family will host a memorial service for Shirley at a later date.

Shirley was born February 14, 1953 to Bill and Evelyn Hukill in Vernon, Texas. She married Tony Goodson on November 17, 1984 in Brownwood, Texas.

Shirley was employed for several years by Early Middle School as their Cafeteria Manager.

Shirley was an enthusiastic Texas Rangers fan. She was fun and loved to have a good time, laugh and smile. She attended any and every activity that her grandkids were in. She was an amazing mom and nana!

Shirley will always be remembered for her loving, caring, energetic, spunky personality and how she loved and cared for us so big! Her family couldn’t have asked for a better mother and nana. They will miss her every day.

Shirley is survived by her children and their spouses, Evelyn Ivey and Nathan, Terri Boyd and Mark, Amy Conner and Jay, and Lane Goodson; grandchildren, Matthew and wife Cate, Sarah, Ashleigh and husband Sam, Ethan and wife McKenzie, Averie, Brayden, Scarlette and Caroline; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Dakota, Magnolia, Wyatt, Gavin, Blakeleigh, Jagger and Banks; sisters, Peggy Lytle and Paula Graves; also, several nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by both of her parents; her spouse, Tony Goodson; her brother Billy Hukill and her grandson, Joshua Boyd.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be shared with the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
