
The June sales tax allocations were released this week by the Texas Comptroller’s Office. Allocations were higher in Brownwood and Bangs, compared to June 2024, and down slightly in Early. June sales tax allocations reflect taxable retail sales in April 2025. Details below.
BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $599,937, an increase of 6.73% compared to June 2024. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2024 through June 2025) Brownwood has received $5,638,837, up 6.12% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $198,416, up 6.36% vs. June 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Brownwood MDD has received $1,821,813, up 5.10% vs. the previous fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $192,892, down 2.21% from June 2024. Fiscal year-to-date Early has received $1,707,096, a decrease of 7.23% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $63,734, down 1.85% from June 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Early MDD has received $558,819, a decrease of 6.75% from the previous fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $23,110, an increase of 26.30% over June 2024. Fiscal year-to-date Bangs has received $216,788, up 11.76% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $3,477, an increase of 20.44% over June 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Bangs MDD has received $30,322, up 8.42% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
