61st Annual Brown County Rodeo begins tonight

The 61st Annual Brown County Rodeo begins tonight and runs through Saturday at the Earl Q. Wilson Arena at the Brown County Fairgrounds on U.S. Highway 377 South. Advance tickets for $10 are available at KOXE or Citizens National Bank. Tickets at the gate are $12. Kids ages 12 and under are admitted free thanks to TexasBank.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. each night with Mutton Bustin’ starting at 7 p.m. followed the Grand Entry. T.C. Long returns as your Rodeo Announcer along with the James Andrews Rodeo Co. providing the rough stock. Gizmo McCracken will be your Specialty Act each night and The San Angelo Ambassadors Riding Club is back and having a nightly performance as well, to go along with the Senior Calf Scramble.

The Rodeo kicks off with the annual membership meeting in the Home Economics building from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight. Also tonight, Veterans and First Responders will be admitted free in expression of appreciation for their service and our freedom. All three nights of action will be broadcast live on KOXE 101.3.  

Then on Saturday morning at 10 am, the Brown County Rodeo Parade will take place in Downtown Brownwood. For more information about the parade, contact Meredith Locker at 325-642-3819.
