Laney Ricketson, born November 29, 1954, passed away peacefully on June 02, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born in Burnet, TX to D.L. and Helen Ricketson, Laney would go on to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for more than 25 years as a lab supervisor. Laney married Gina Ricketson and chose to settle in Deer Park, TX where they would raise their son Jason and daughter Lacy. Laney was known for his kind heart, hard work and his unwavering dedication to his family. He is survived by his children, grandchildren (Landon, Jillian and Evan), sisters Debehra Riggs and husband Monty, Rhonda Moore and husband Bruce, Linda Ricketson, and brother DL Ricketson and wife Diane. A celebration of life will be held on June 06, 2025, from 2-4 PM at Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba, TX.

Laney was a man who took pride in hard work and a job well done. Whether it was at his job, a project around the house, or helping a friend he believed in putting your head down and giving it your all. And for his family – they were his everything, and he simply loved them and gave them the best of himself. It’s hard to imagine life without him. His presence was steady and strong, and while he is no longer with us in body, we carry his spirit. We carry it in how we work, how we love, and how we live. We thank you for your countless sacrifices and your quiet strength. We will miss you more than words can say, but we will honor you in how we live our lives. Rest easy!
