Reynaldo “Roy” Garza Sr., 86 of Kansas, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, in Early, Texas. He was born on September 30, 1938, in Waco, Texas.  He lived a full, hardworking life always demonstrating his love for his wife Blanca and family.

Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria “Blanca” Garza, Sons Jessie and Ernest “Neto”; grandson Michael; his parents Maximo and Maria; and siblings, Joe, Aurora, Benny, Jesse  “Chuy” and Tony.

Roy was a truck driver and, in his youth, worked in agriculture. Known for his hands-on skills, if something was broken, he had a knack for fixing it. In his free time, he could be found walking or playing dominoes with friends where he earned the title “the domino king” or at the bingo hall. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent most of his time outside with his wife searching for something to fix.

Roy is survived, by his beloved children: Mario Garza of Kansas City, Kansas, and his seven children; Reynaldo Garza Jr. of Lincoln, Nebraska and his three children; Lisa Garza of Arapahoe, Nebraska and her six children; Virginia Salinas and Robert Salinas of Brownwood, Texas and their two children; Samantha Garza and her wife Naely of Aurora Colorado. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, three siblings and many nieces and nephews. His legacy lives on with his extended and loving family.

In keeping with his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held with his children and grandchildren to honor the memory of a man who meant so much to so many.

“Sadly, missed along life’s way, quietly remembered every day…No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you’re always there.”

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the Garza family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
