Former Early Longhorn Caydon Laird and Lenoir-Rhyne have punched their ticket to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.
LR won their first ever Super Regional defeating the 4th ranked nationally Catawba Indians in a best of 3 series.. Laird came in relief in game one against the Indians, pitching the last two innings (2IP, 3H, 1R, OBB, 2K’s).
The Bears will be headed to Cary, NC this week as the 3rd seed. They will be playing this Friday May 30th 12:30pm at the USA Baseball Training Complex against East Stroudsburg. The final 8 teams will play a double-elimination format setting up the final best-of-three series to crown the 2025 national champion!!
