EARLY – Early ISD Superintendent Dr. Joan Otten informed BrownwoodNews.com Friday night that athletic director and head football coach Randall Case resigned earlier Friday afternoon.

“After Memorial Day weekend we’ll make plans to move forward with either an interim AD or posting the AD position,” said Otten, who offered no additional details.

Case served as head football coach and athletic director at Early during the 2024-25 school year, as the Longhorns posted a 1-9 overall record and 0-5 mark against District 5-3A Division II competition, ending a run of four consecutive trips to the playoffs for the football program.

Prior to serving as head football coach, Case was an assistant on the Early staff for seven years.
