Jeffrey Allen Dady, 62 years old from Reno, Nevada, passed away in Bangs, Texas on May 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held later in Reno, Nevada, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery.

Jeffrey Allen Dady was born on September 10, 1962, in Hawthorne, California, to Boyd and Connie Dady. He was the third of six children. Jeff completed his high school education at Excelsior Springs High School in Missouri in 1980. In 1985, he moved to Reno, Nevada, where he met Charles Rose. Jeff and Charles shared a love for travel and enjoyed many trips together during their 37-year partnership. Jeff often visited Kansas City, MO, cherishing time with his family.

Jeff was known for his friendly nature, always greeting everyone with kindness, no matter his circumstances. His sense of humor was unforgettable, often bringing joy to those around him. Jeff had a passion for cooking and loved preparing and sharing meals. He was also an avid animal lover, with a special bond with his pets—a parrot, peacock, potbelly pig, and most notably his dog, Cindy Lou, who was his loyal companion through life’s ups and downs.

Jeffrey Allen Dady is preceded in death by his partner, Charles Rose, his parents; Boyd and Connie Dady, his mother-in-law, Alice Rose, paternal grandparents; Bert and Ava Mae (Mills) Dady, maternal grandparents; John and Loretta Anderson, great-niece, Leah Dawson and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff is survived by his brother, John Dady of Troy, MO, and four sisters: Amy Dady Poole (Jeff) of Cameron, MO; Mary Bramble (Tracy) of Birmingham, MO; Gloria Powell (Rick) of San Antonio, TX; and Janet Willsey of Coffey, MO. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Mary (Bill) Parott of Reno, NV, nine nephews: Chris Eldredge, Travis (Tonja) Eldredge, Tristan Eldredge, Scotty Poole, Bradley Wagoner Jr., Cory (Emily) Wagoner, David (Sarah) Bramble, Nicholas (Julia) Smith, Will (Cathryn) Smith and Tony (Ivey) Smith, and one niece, Kelsey Wagoner. His great-nephews: James Eldredge, Joseph Eldredge, Isaac Eldredge, Dustin Dawson, Christian McRander, Aidan Smith, Ethan Smith, Aaron Smith, Evan Smith, Greyson Wagoner, and Lucas Bramble. His great-nieces: Faith Eldredge, Jenna Eldredge, Leif Smith, Ollie Smith, Layla Wagoner, and Lilly Bramble. He has one great-great niece, Hazel Querry. Additionally, he leaves behind aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

We extend our profound gratitude to the medical professionals who provided treatment after his diagnosis in 2023. We would like to specifically acknowledge Gentiva Hospice Care in Reno, Nevada, and Gentiva Hospice Care in Brownwood, TX. Additionally, we are grateful to the Bangs Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, along with their dedicated nurses and staff. Our family will forever remember the care you provided to our brother Jeff during his final days and after his passing.

Furthermore, we wish to express sincere thanks to our nephew, Will Smith, for relocating Jeff to Texas, allowing him to be closer to family. Jeff held a particular fondness for his nephew, whose acts of service and kindness profoundly affected him. Will’s support, whether through assistance with tasks or his presence during difficult times, left a lasting impression on Jeff, significantly strengthening their bond.
