Leslie Warren and Mary Zamarripa

Brownwood ISD issued the following information Monday:

This month’s spotlight teacher is Leslie Warren. Ms. Warren is a 3rd Grade Reading Language Arts teacher at East Elementary. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Study and Language Development from Southwestern University and is state-certified teacher with ESL Supplemental (1-8), Elementary (1-8), and Elementary English (1-8) certifications. This is her second year with Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Warren brings energy, passion, and purpose to her reading classroom each day, creating an engaging environment where all students feel encouraged to grow. She has a remarkable ability to connect with her students, fostering both a love for reading and confidence in their abilities. Through her creative lessons, meaningful relationships, and high expectations, she inspires students to reach their fullest potential. Her dedication, growth mindset, teamwork, and professionalism make her a standout educator and a valued member of our team. Brownwood ISD is honored to celebrate educators like Ms. Warren, who bring excellence to the classroom and inspire students to grow and develop a love for reading.

Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Mary Zamarripa. Ms. Zamarripa serves as the Parent Liaison at Brownwood Accelerated High School. This is her sixteenth year with Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Zamarripa is the kind of team member every school hopes to have. She consistently goes above and beyond, tackling every task—no matter how big or small—with dedication, reliability, and a positive attitude. She’s the right hand that her supervisors and co workers can always count on, and is someone who steps in without hesitation. Her commitment consistently prioritizes the best interests of students. She provides topnotch support to our small campus, serving high-need, at-risk students, and exceeds expectations every day. Brownwood ISD is grateful to have staff like Ms. Zamarripa, whose passion and tireless efforts provide outstanding support to our staff and students.
