Following an executive session Tuesday, the Brownwood City Council took no further action regarding the resignation of City Manager Emily Crawford, whose final day on the job will be June 6.
Mayor Stephen Haynes did, however, address the process the City will undergo in finding Crawford’s replacement.
“We’re going to have to internal applicants only for the first two weeks,” Haynes said. “Those applications will close Friday, May 23. If we have internal applicants who the Council desires to interview, then we’ll do that May 27 following or regularly scheduled meeting.”
Haynes did not address potential external applicants.
