Joshlyn was born in Brownwood and soon became family with LaVonda Wilkins. She attended school in Blanket and will be remembered for the many roles that she played in the lives of so many. She was a kind soul who loved wildflowers, the color blue, and singing along to her favorite songs. Joshlyn loved to cook for the family. Her favorite was a tater tot casserole with corn and green beans mixed together. It was important to her that everyone around her was happy and she made it her mission to bring a smile to those close to her whenever possible.
Joshlyn is survived by her Mom, LaVonda Wilkins of Blanket; her 2nd Mom, Sylvia Flores of Bangs; Uncle Clayton Wilkins of Blanket; Aunt Tammy Slayton of Bangs; Grandpa Ricky Calhoun of Brownwood and Grandpa Kenneth Robinson of Proctor; sisters, “Big Sis” Shawna Aguero of Blanket, Alyson Covington of San Angelo, Stace Garrett of Weatherford, Sy’Ann Jones of Early; brothers, James Mendez of Del Rio, Dylan Mattis of Dallas, Ty Jones; ; step sister, Cynthia Taylor of Early & step brother, Christopher Boykin of Stephenville; and many cousins and friends.
Joshlyn was preceded in death by her Nana & Papa Wilkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family request due to circumstances that donations be made to Heartland Funeral Home or through the GoFundMe set up in her honor at https://gofund.me/6309c5d1.
