Jayden Bradley Gowin, 16, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025. A visitation with his family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 1, 2025 and the Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 2, 2025 in the Heartland Funeral Home with interment to follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in Early, Texas.

Jayden was born May 13, 2008 in Brownwood, Texas to John Gowin and Jessica Gideon. He attended high school in Zephyr, Texas where he had many friends. Jayden loved shooting guns, riding horses, anything Rodeo and he loved riding bulls. He cooked crawfish and anything else he caught or hunted and was pretty good at saucing it up. He fished with his little brother, ran around in the trucks with the boys, country music always on the radio and dancing with the girls. He was very loving, had a big heart and was very protective of his baby sister Jholy. A strong headed boy, he always wanted to do things his way, pay for his own vehicles. Never wanting to be a burden to his dad or anyone with expenses, so clothing him was very easy. He liked cowboy hats and boots. Taught himself to shoot a compound bow and play guitar with the help of YouTube. His talent was very neat in the eyes of his father.
Jayden is survived by his Dad, John Gowin and wife Necole of Brownwood; mom, Jessica Gowin and fiancé Zane Henry of Blanket; brothers, John Paul Gowin and wife Sheriden of Bangs, James Gowin of Brownwood; sister, Jholy Gowin of Brownwood; nephew, John Brooks Gowin of Bangs; grandparents, Johnny Dale Gowin and Teresa of Brownwood; Bobby Gideon and wife Cheyenne of Brookesmith, Victoria Minor and husband Scott of Early; Sheila Bush and husband Ray of Brownwood, Texas; Uncle Travis Shaw & Kutter Shaw; his horse, Whiskey & Poncho the Dog; rabbits and turkeys; cousins and friends.
Jayden was preceded in death by his great grandparents, George and Edith Benson; and great aunt, Sherry Cummins.
Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
