The Brownwood Community Library has announced its third annual  Reading for The Roses: A Kentucky Derby Party fundraiser will be on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 3:00, at the Brownwood Event Center. The success of this event depends on you and the support of our community. The Derby party will include a southern buffet, a jazz band, a derby hat and a bow tie contest, a silent and live auction, as well as big screen TVs to watch The Kentucky Derby.

The Library receives funds from the cities of Brownwood and Early, as well as Brown County. However, these funds do not cover all expenses for crucial community programs, services, education, and staff requirements. We are calling on every Brown County business to embrace this opportunity to support the Library.

Tickets and sponsorship may be purchased here or by mail:

Brownwood Library
600 Carnegie St.
Brownwood, TX 76801

Please consider donating live or silent auction items. Our live and silent auction is a major component of the Kentucky Derby Party. We invite you to participate with your auction donations.

Questions? Contact Becky at the Brownwood Library at 325-646-5800 or [email protected].
