Art works by children and students from local schools will be on display for the next few weeks at the Brownwood Art Center, 215 Fisk.  Regular gallery hours are 2-6 pm, Mon.-Fri.  The public is invited to attend, and admission to the gallery is always free.  All receptions will include light refreshments.

Art made at the Boys and Girls Club in Brownwood is currently on display, through Thursday, April 24, concluding with  a reception, also on April 24, from 4-6 pm.

Early High School art works will be exhibited from April 29 through May 1, concluding with a reception Thurs. May 1, from 4-6 pm.

Early Middle School will have their show from May 5 through May 8, concluding with a reception Thurs. May 8, from 5-6 pm.

Brownwood Middle School art will be on exhibit from May 13 through May 16, including a reception Thurs. May 15, from 4-6 pm.

Brownwood Art Association Exhibit Coordinator Donna Lewis stresses the importance of exhibiting works by children and youth.  “One of our main missions is to encourage and support young artists, so hosting the school exhibits is a chance for us to do that, and it’s always exciting to see the developing talent in these students, and give them a chance to show their work in a real gallery in the community.”
