Walter Earl Triplett

Walter Earl Triplett, age 81, of May, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025. The family will host a private celebration of life at a later date. 

Walt was born on June 9, 1943 in Terrell, Texas to Elizabeth White and Walter F. Triplett. After graduating from high school, Walt enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1961 to 1964, upon which time he was honorably discharged. He retired from Wheaton Detailing. He loved to read, watch game shows, Nascar, and especially the Dallas Cowboys. He was also big into astronomy. 

Walt is survived by his children, Walter Bryan Triplett and wife Kim, and Shannon Blake Triplett; 4 grandchildren, Shelby Nicole Triplett, Justin Bryan Triplett, Ryan Scott Triplett, and Tyler Danielle Triplett; 3 great grandchildren, Ryan’s daughter Harlee Rae Triplett, Justin’s daughter Ava Rainn Triplett and Tyler’s daughter Ranleigh Griffith; his brothers, Gary Taylor and wife Melissa, and Steve Taylor; and sister, Dalene Roberts. He is also survived by Glenda Taylor, sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his son, Scott Daniel Triplett; his brother, Willie Taylor; his great aunt, Dortha Hutchison; and cousin, Herbert Jenkins.
