
The April sales tax allocations were higher than last year in Brownwood and Bangs, but lower in Early, according to information released by the Texas Comptroller’s Office. April sales tax allocations reflect taxable retail sales in February 2025. Details below.
BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $521,657, an increase of 2.55% over April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2024 through April 2025) Brownwood has received $4,290,415, up 6.03% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $165,273, a decrease of 2.55% from April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Brownwood MDD has received $1,395,573, up 5.33% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $164,523, a decrease of 14.45% from April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date Early has received $1,311,123, down 9.68% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $54,094, down 14.71% vs. April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Early MDD has received $429,995, a decrease of 9.13% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $21,323, an increase of 21.34% over April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date Bangs has received $169,585, an increase of 12.56% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs MDD received $3,212, an increase of 26.26% over April 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Bangs MDD has received $23,620, up 7.75% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
