
EARLY – The Earl Lady Horns avenged a second consecutive District 8-3A softball defeat Saturday, knocking off Comanche, 4-3, in a make-up game to level their league record.
The Lady Horns (15-8, 6-6) scored twice in the second inning and two more times in the third, while Comanche scratched across single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth frames.
Early finished with eight hits – two each by Kyleigh Caperton, Marissa Reedy and Jordan Simmons, and one apiece by Andie Simpson and Aleeya McCombs.
In the circle, Sydney Greaves tossed on her second straight compete game, allowing two earned runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and four walks.
The Lady Horns are back in action at 5 p.m. Tuesday as they host Tolar.
