STERLING CITY – The Bangs Lady Dragons recently captured the District 7-2A/8-2A area track and field championship, while earning nine regional berths in the process, while the Bangs Dragons are sending three to the regional meet.

Regional qualifiers for the Lady Dragons include Kasey Solis in the long jump, triple jump and 100 meters; Abby Wolf in the long jump and 100 meters; Cameryn Harmon in the triple jump; Mattisyn Taylor in the discus; and the 4×100 relay and 4×200 relay teams of Solis, Wolf, Harmon and Valerie Razo.

Moving on to regionals for the Dragons are Connor Bible in the 100 meters, Braxton Wommack in the 200 meters, and Cason Tidwell in the 300-meter hurdles.

The Region I-2A meet is April 18-19 at West Texas A&M in Canyon.
