Ruby Faye York, 89, of Santa Anna, Texas and formerly of Brownwood area passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025. A graveside will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 11, 2025 in Eastlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Early, Texas.

Faye was born February 19, 1936 in Beattie, Comanche County, Texas. She attended school in Comanche and moved to the Brownwood area where she spent most of her life. Faye was a homemaker, taking care of her husband Curtis Jack York and four children where she succeeded in creating a home with happy children and lots of love. She was a Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. Faye enjoyed attending Early First Baptist Church and more recently went to the Concho Baptist Church in Santa Anna, Texas until her health began to lag. Faye moved to Santa Anna with her son Lanny about Five years ago. You would never talk bad about the Dallas Cowboys in her presence because she was a super big fan and always stood ready to defend her team. Football was such a love of hers that the NFL network was on the television all the time. Faye loved her Lord, family, football, her two chihuahua’s Roxy & Tiny, and she was loved back just as much.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Donna Abernathy of Georgetown; sons, Vic York of Brownwood and Lanny York of Santa Anna; granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Crawford of Georgetown and great grandson, Blake Crawford of Georgetown; as well as many church family members and friends.
Fay was preceded in death by her son, Danny York and her husband, Curtis Jack York.
Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
