Ruby Lee Lewis, age 64 of Coleman, TX went on to be with the Lord Sunday, March 30, 2025 in Abilene, TX. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, 10am – 12pm at Brownwood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12pm at Brownwood Funeral Home.

Ruby Lee Lewis was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, on June 30, 1960, to the late Eva Davis and JT Robinson. She was the eighth of nine children.

Ruby attended elementary school and high school in West Memphis, Arkansas. After high school, Ruby relocated to Chicago, Illinois. It was there where she received her Associates Degree from Kennedy-King College and her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Chicago State University.

Ruby was a warm, loving, kind-hearted, intelligent, funny and strong woman. If you needed to talk to her, she would always make herself available. She loved enjoying life, listening to music, cooking and spending time with her family.

Ruby was preceded in death by six of her brothers and sisters; her late husband, Norris Lewis; her ex-husband Mosezear Randolph, Sr; and her grandson, Rod Suttle, Jr.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memory: her two children, Tonya Robinson Newson (Bobby) and Mosezear Randolph, Jr; her eight grandchildren, Dakarai Robinson (Brianna), Cornelius Collins III, Shaquillah Collins, Tamara Collins, Bobbi Newson, Kleigh Randle, and Lillie Randolph; three great-grandchildren, Dakarai Robinson, Jr., Zyaira Anderson and Iyanna Robinson; two sisters, Lennie Grice and Marie Roberson (Ollie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
