Fishing Reports 3/26/25

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of March 26:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 61 degrees; 0.33 feet below pool. Black bass to 7.86 pounds are fair off the rocks on Hag’s Hurricanes and glide baits and around the flats. and staging areas on squarebill crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 2-8 feet. Fish are starting to push to the banks to spawn. Crappie are fair to 11 inches on jigs in 8-12 feet of water. White bass are good to 1.5 pounds on crankbaits late around the lighted docks. Catfish to 20 pounds are good on jug lines with cut bait and off some of the deeper docks night crawlers and chicken livers.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water slight stain; 62 degrees; 13.08 feet below pool. Bass are good in 10 feet of water hitting creature baits. Crappie are in 15-20 feet of water. It is nearing the perfect spawning temperature. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

FAIR. Water normal stain; 55 degrees; 0.73 feet below pool. Bass are in all stages of the spawn hitting creature baits and soft plastics. Crappie can be caught with minnows or jigs.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 59 degrees; 23.41 feet below pool. Bass are biting in the brush 2-4 feet of water on spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and green pumpkin creature baits Texas rigged. Main Lake bass are moving up shallow to 2-12 feet of water off points with hard bottoms and brush. Use a heavier line to prevent break offs. White bass are moving shallow in the same areas as black bass. Some crappie reported up to The Colorado River on shallow rock bluffs. Catfish are good in the back of creeks and river channels in 6-8 feet on jug lines and rod-and-reels with stink bait. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 65 degrees; 0.06 feet above pool. Big blue catfish can be caught in deep water or shallow water. Target windblown points and banks, or fish beneath feeding white bass with fresh cut bait. Report by Jeffery Sojourner, Sojourner Fishing LLC.
