The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Tuesday morning:

On Monday, March 24, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Brady Avenue regarding a report of a wanted person.

Officers located the apartment in question and knocked on the door. The door was opened by 37-year-old Zachary Murry Lindsay. Lindsay attempted to shut the door on the officers, but they were able to gain entry. Lindsay was noncompliant and argumentative and eventually arrested.

Lindsay was arrested on the warrant out of District Court for Burglary of a Habitation w/ Intent to Commit Another Felony. He was also additionally charged with Evading Detention, Interference w/ Public Duties and Resisting Arrest.
