Funeral services for Chester Dwaine “Chick” Eoff, age 86, of May, will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with James Glasscock officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 until7:00 PM.

Chick passed from this life on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Chick was born on October 23, 1938, in May, to J.A. and Myrle (Bagley) Eoff.  He was a graduate of May High School in 1957.  He married Linda King on January 15, 1981.  Chick owned and operated the Longhorn Motel in Early for several years before joining the staff of Davis-Morris Funeral Home as a funeral assistant in 1981, a career that spanned 25 years. He later joined Heartland Funeral Home for eleven years before retiring.  Chick served his community as a member of the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club.  Chick loved bluegrass music.  He and Linda would drag the travel trailer to many bluegrass festivals across the state, getting to the venue early so they could place their chairs on the front row.  Chick was a long-time member of the Early Church of Christ.

Chick is survived by his wife Linda of May, son, Greg Eoff and wife Stephanie of Early, daughters, Tana Stokes and husband Patrick of Abilene, Sheila Pennington and husband Rex of Lake Brownwood, Lisa Winton and husband Ken of May, Amy Perkins and husband Logan of San Angelo; eleven grandchildren, Taylor Stokes, Austin Eoff, Payton Stokes, Jeremy Pennington, Cliff Adams, Mia Storm, Maggie Ripley, Abby Adams, Cassidy Perkins, Hadley Perkins, Tripp Perkins; 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Barbara Glenn of Brownwood.

Chick was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Kenneth Eoff and Wilburn Eoff, and a brother-in-law, Gene Glenn.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the Eoff family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
