The Early Chamber of Commerce shared the following information on social media:
The Early Chamber of Commerce, alongside the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, was thrilled to co-host the ribbon cutting for The Royal Card Club – Brownwood at their Grand Opening celebration, welcoming them to the community!
What started as a fun pastime has grown into a legal poker establishment operating on a membership model. Founded in December 2024 by Kim Clark, Robert Clark, Steven McCrane, and Michael Bunker, the club held its soft opening on February 27, 2025.
Committed to supporting local businesses, The Royal Card Club has partnered with Pioneer Tap House and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop to offer dinner delivery straight to players. They’ve also teamed up with The Barton Team, who provided lockers for personal item storage. Most importantly, the club is proud to offer a local poker club that will keep our locals local, as well as the money and prizes staying local, benefiting our community but hopes to bring in others outside of Brown County.
Whether you’re a poker pro or just looking to learn, The Royal Card Club is the place to be! Stop by and check them out.
The Royal Card Club is located at 104 S. Broadway in Brownwood. For more information, call (325) 800-1103, visit their Facebook page, Facebook.com/TheRoyalBWD, or their website, theroyalcardclub.com.
