The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Monday morning:

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 2:15am, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3300 block of Stephen F Austin regarding a report of a Domestic Disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers approached the residence and were met by an adult female who was walking toward them while crying. She explained an assault which just occurred inside the residence between her and 31-year-old Francisco Javier Larios, of Brownwood. The female detailed a physical assault and sexual assault.

Larios was also located at the residence. He was also interviewed about the incident.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Larios was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail where he was charged with Unlawful Restraint, Interference with Emergency Call and Sexual Assault – Forcible Rape.
