
The Texas Comptroller’s Office released the March Sales Tax allocations this week. The sales tax allocations for March were higher for the Cities of Brownwood and Bangs, compared to March 2024, and lower for the City of Early. March sales tax allocations reflect taxable retail sales in January 2025. Details below.
BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $547,976, an increase of 7.10% over March 2024. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2024 through March 2025) the City of Brownwood has received $3,768,758, an increase of 6.53% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $178,131, an increase of 3.96% over March 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Brownwood MDD has received $1,230,300, an increase of 6.49 over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $190,797, a decrease of 11.58% compared to March 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the City of Early has received $1,146,600, down 8.95% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $63,015, a decrease of 11.69% compared to March 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Early MDD has received $375,951, down 8.27% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $20,864, an increase of 5.62% compared to March 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the City of Bangs has received $148,262, up 11.63% compared to the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $2,999, a decrease of 5.75% compared to March 2024. Fiscal year-to-date the Bangs MDD has received $20,408, an increase of 5.32% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
