Minnie Lee Watson, born on September 16, 1947, in Bexar County, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Coleman, Texas. She was a beloved figure in her community, known for her quiet demeanor and immense capacity for love, particularly towards her family.

Minnie dedicated many years of her life to nursing, serving as a certified nurse aide at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Coleman. Her commitment to caring for her patients reflected not only her professional skills but also her compassionate nature. She took great pride in her work, finding fulfillment in the relationships she built with those she cared for.

A devoted family member, Minnie’s legacy is reflected in her survivors: her grandchildren, Tonja McPherson, Alishia Irwin, and Joanne Dickson, along with multiple great-grandchildren who cherished their time with her. However, Minnie’s journey was also marked by profound loss; she is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Staggs and Iva Dell Conway Staggs, and her three children, Tonja Irwin, Tammy Scott, and Randy Irwin.

Minnie Lee Watson will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the lasting impact she made on the lives of those around her. Her love and care will continue to resonate within the hearts of her surviving family members as they honor her memory.

There will be no formal service. Arrangements with cremation are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Watson family by signing the guestbook on Minnie’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Watson family.
