Don Lewis Witt, age 84, of Goldthwaite, Texas, passed away on March 8, 2025, in Goldthwaite, TX. The family will hold a private ceremony to spread his ashes at a later date.

Don was born to James Herbert Witt and Annie Jewel Morris Brown in Lubbock, Texas, on July 7, 1940. Don lived a life full of love and dedication. He married Joyce Witt on January 14, 1959, and they shared 66 wonderful years together. He worked as a ranch foreman for many years, a job he was passionate about. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making knives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Jewel Morris Brown, his father, James Herbert Witt, his brother, James Witt, and two sisters, Joanne Roberts and Patsy Shockley.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce, and their three children: a son, Fred Witt, and two daughters, Donna Vaught and Cindy Helm. He was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

The Witt family would like to convey their sincere appreciation to everyone who provided support through prayers, phone calls, and kind gestures. They will always hold dear the expressions of kindness they received during this challenging period.
Services are entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
