Jerry Mann Rambo, Jr., 66, of Menard, Texas, passed away on the evening of February 17, 2025. He was born on December 6, 1958, to Jerry Mann Rambo Sr. and Nila Lou (Harris) Rambo.

Mann graduated from Menard High School in 1977 and went on to earn a degree in Construction Management from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. After establishing his own construction company in Austin, he returned to Menard and continued his work with Mann Rambo Construction Company. For over 30 years, Mann took pride in helping his community bring their dream homes and visions to life.

In his younger years, Mann enjoyed roping and day working. On December 19, 1992, he married Lori Annette Ballentine, and together they built a life focused on family. His children, Bryan, and Lindsey became his priority, and he spent countless hours with them at stock shows, camping trips, fishing outings, and sports activities. Mann was well known for his weekly tradition of cooking a big pot of beans, as well as his delicious homemade pecan pies and brownies.

One of Mann’s greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. His face would light up with the biggest smile whenever they were around. If you were ever wondering where Mann was, you could bet that he was likely fishing at the farm—his peaceful retreat.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Silver Spur in Menard. Friends and family are welcome to sign Mann’s online guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.

Mann is survived by his devoted wife, Lori Rambo of Menard; his daughter, Lindsey Neel and husband Layne of Kerrville; his son, Bryan Thigpen of Menard, and his former daughter-in-law, Myndi Moss, of Menard; sister Tenzy Bradley and husband John of Buda; brothers Cary Rambo and wife Amy of Menard, Deitrich Rambo and wife Loren of Lubbock, and Dewey Rambo and wife Amy of Amarillo; grandchildren Lainey Thigpen, Jayla Arizola, Landry Neel, and Lyncoln Neel; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Mann Rambo Sr., and Nila Lou Rambo.

Memorial contributions in Mann’s memory may be made to the Menard County 4-H or Menard Volunteer Fire Department.
