David Lynn Cain

Funeral services for David Cain, age 50, of Georgetown, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the Heartland Funeral Home chapel. Burial with Masonic Rites and Military Honors will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.

David passed from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Round Rock.

David Lynn Cain was born in Brownwood on June 28, 1974, to Denman and Jo Lynn (Blevins) Cain.  David was a 1992 graduate of Brownwood High School.  He obtained certifications in skydiving and scuba diving. He also enjoyed fishing.

David served in the United States Army and attained the rank of Sergeant along with earning numerous service awards and medals throughout his honorable service to our great nation. He served overseas in several theaters including Bosnia, Macedonia and Kosovo.
David spent many years studying various Martial arts, which culminated into attaining a sixth-degree black belt and induction into Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame. David also obtained certifications in skydiving and scuba diving. He also enjoyed fishing.

David was a Master Mason.  He was an endowed member in the Bangs Masonic Lodge #926 and an endowed member in the Waco Scottish Rite, 32 Degree.

He was preceded in death by his father, Denman Cain and his brother, Denman “Scooter” Cain.  He is survived by his mother, Jo Lynn Cain, and two sons, Evan and Jayden, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
