Shirley Phillips Ray 87 of Kerville left us to be with our Heavenly Father on February 24, 2025. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:30 am at Brownwood Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mukewater Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the Brownwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Shirley was born in Bangs, TX, to parents Lyn and Pansy Phillips.  Fun-loving and full of life, she has been living in Kerrville, TX, with her husband of 50 years, Paul David Ray.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing games.  Prior to retirement, she was a receptionist and librarian for Gulf Publishing in Houston for 26 years.

Shirley is survived by her husband, daughters Merissa Langford and Desiree Farrar, grandchildren Crystal Boyd, and Hyatt Langford,  her great-grandchildren, sister, niece, and a host of extended family and many friends.

The Ray family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and prayers received during this challenging time of grief. They will forever cherish all that has been done for them.

Online condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
