Nancy Boyd

Nancy Elizabeth Person Boyd, age 87, of Early, was welcomed into heaven by her Savior February 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 24 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM.

Nancy was born to Jerome Turner Person Jr. and Thelma Elizabeth Gallaway Person in Van, Texas on January 10, 1938. After graduating from Brownwood High School, she attended commercial college and gained skills in secretarial work that prepared her for a long career with the Boy Scouts of America. Nancy worked for the Boy Scouts for 18 years. On February 19, 1983, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, Nancy married her beloved husband Felix Reed Boyd. She passed one day before their 42nd wedding anniversary.

Nancy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Salt Creek Baptist Church in Early. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, shooting pool, bowling and visiting with friend, family and grandkids.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Felix R. Boyd; daughter, Pam Collins and husband Charlie; son, Dennis Carroll and wife Linda; stepchildren, Michael and Traci Boyd; siblings, Tommy Folck, Betty Jo Ragsdale and husband Don, and Hopie Wardlow; grandchildren, Sean Brown, Brandi Brooks and Dustin Carroll; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Matt Person.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center 3016 Milam Drive, Brownwood, TX 76801 or by calling 325 646-0617.
