Guadalupe Rebecca Gonzales, age 88, of Menard, Texas passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, in San Angelo. Guadalupe was born on June 26, 1936, in Menard to Pedro Gonzales and Carolina (Rodriguez) Gonzales. She has been a lifelong resident of the Menard community. She did assembly work for Ethicon in San Angelo for over 17 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed baking, cooking, embroidery work, quilting and traveling around the world. She loved being around her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Menard.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Guadalupe Rebecca Gonzales will be held at 11:00am, February 19, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Menard with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories in Menard. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, with the Holy Rosary being recited at 6:30pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Menard. Friends may view and/or sign Guadalupe’s online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.

Guadalupe Gonzales is survived by her sons Lupe DeAnda and wife Esther of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charles DeAnda and wife Bertha of Menard, Texas and Oscar DeAnda of Coppell, Texas; daughter Yolanda Salazar of San Angelo, Texas; sister Modesta Castillo of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren Lupe DeAnda II, Lindsey Marie Hernandez, Brian Paul Salazar, Gary DeAnda, Charlie DeAnda and Kevin DeAnda; great-grandchildren Fabian Pablo DeAnda, Aiden Hernandez, Keziah Nicole Salazar, Kohen Paul Salazar, Case DeAnda, Claire DeAnda and Aubrey DeAnda; several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Elida DeAnda, son Paul DeAnda, three brothers, three sisters and great-grandson Lupe DeAnda III.
