GATESVILLE – Seeking their second consecutive District 5-4A victory, the Brownwood Lions were instead upended by the Gatesville Hornets, 2-1, Friday night.

Stephen Rodriguez accounted for the lone goal for Brownwood (4-7-1, 1-2) off a corner kick.

The Lions are back in action at 7:30 p.m. as they welcome Stephenville to Gordon Wood Stadium.
