Black History Month Youth Spotlight: Erickia Dobbins

Erickia Dobbins is an outstanding person who embodies the spirit of excellence and dedication. With her infectious energy and compassionate heart, Erickia makes a lasting impact in every aspect of her life.

She is a junior at Brownwood High School, where academically, she shines as an A/ B student, consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to her studies.

Beyond the classroom, Erickia is a talented and devoted member of the Greater Faith Community Church choir, using her voice to uplift and inspire others. Her faith is also a guiding force in her life, as evidenced by her active involvement in church activities at Greater Faith Church.

With a passion for helping others and the world of athletics. Ericka can be found roaming the sidelines of various sport games as a student athletic trainer. Helping to rehydrate, tape and assist the Head Athletic trainer, Erickia is an indispensable asset to the school’s sports teams. She attends every practice, ensuring that the athletes receive the care and support they need to perform at their best. Her attention to detail and commitment to preventing injuries are impressive.

Erickia also takes pride in maintaining equipment and administering first aid when needed, demonstrating her expertise and calmness under pressure.

Through her remarkable achievements and selfless contributions, Erickia is an exemplary model of a well-rounded and compassionate individual. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication make her a shining star in the community.

With her passion for helping others and her desire to succeed, Erickia is well on her way to achieving her dream of working in the medical field.

Passion, Empathy, and Selflessness are qualities that every person should have. Erickia exhibits these traits daily. It is with great pride that ROC spotlights, this young lady, for what she’s doing, has done and will do in the future.
