HPU’s Department of Music was pleased to welcome back to campus alumnus Ethan Yeats ’15, to speak with the music students during recital hour on Wednesday, February 5, 2024. Yeats is currently serving as a band director for Brownwood ISD. He spoke to the students regarding the importance of developing and nurturing a balanced personal, professional and spiritual identity as the basis for a successful life. Students were also provided with the opportunity for a question-and-answer session with Yeats following his presentation.

“We are incredibly blessed when we are able to bring alumni back to campus to share their experiences and expertise with our students,” noted Dr. Richard Fiese, professor of music. “Our graduates have established careers as music educators, performing musicians and worship leaders that reflect the excellence of our music programs past, present and future.”
