Yesenia Corona

Yesenia Flores Corona, age 46, a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas. Yesenia was born on November 15, 1978, in Los Angeles, California before moving to Brady Texas. Yesenia was the beloved daughter of Benito and Petra Gomez. Yesenia grew up and graduated from Brady High School. Yesenia attended Central Texas College, where she earned her associate’s degree in computer science and developed a passion for learning and growth. A devoted homemaker, she was renowned for her exceptional culinary skills and her warm, hospitable nature. Yesenia had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling, dancing, hosting gatherings, and exploring new cuisines. She was deeply loved and cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial service to honor Yesenia’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Texas. Friends may view and/or sign Yesenia’s online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. 

Yesenia is survived by her father, Benito Gomez, Sr.; her husband, Mario Corona, Sr.; her son, Mario Corona, Jr. of Brady, Texas; her daughters, Lucetti Duncan and her husband Ken of Abilene, Texas, and Rosaa Corona of San Antonio, Texas; her brothers, Benito Gomez, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Gustavo Morales of Dallas, Texas, and Gerardo Morales of Midland, Texas; and her sisters, Carolyn Flores and her husband Joe, Maribel Gomez, and Anabel Flores and her husband Johnny of Brady, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Petra Gomez, her biological father Carmen Flores and daughter Isabell Corona. Yesenia’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Memorial contributions in memory of Yesenia Corona may be made to the Yesenia Corona Benefit Fund at Commercial National Bank, 105 S. 2nd Street, Brady, Texas 76825.
