ACADEMY – The Brownwood Lions soccer team chalked up its first District 5-4A victory Tuesday night, 7-0 over the Little River Academy Bumblebees.

The Lions (4-6-1, 1-1), who ended a three-match losing streak, received three goals from Alex Vaquera and one goal apiece from Raven Prado, Isaac Morales, Jose Rodriguez and Aiden Pena.

In goal, Hudson Fry recorded the shutout for Brownwood, which is back in action at 7 p.m. Friday at Gatesville.
