The Department of Public Safety reports that a fatality accident took place at 7:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of FM 45 and FM 2126 in Brownwood. The accident involved a 2016 Peterbilt 389 towing semi-trailer driven by Aldo Ray McMahon, 68, of Houston.

According to the DPS report, the Peterbilt was traveling west on FM 45, traveling around a curve at milepost 346 at an unsafe speed due to the wet road conditions. The Peterbilt traveled off the north side of the roadway and overturned on its top, and McMahon perished in the accident.

McMahon was wearing a seatbelt, the roadway was wet, and weather conditions were overcast with drizzle.
