ABILENE – The Brownwood Lions placed second as a team and the Brownwood Lady Lions came in third at the Justin Monk Invitational powerlifting meet at Abilene Wylie High School last week.

Winning their weight classes for the Lions were Tanner McDaniel in the 114s and Aidan Packheiser in the super heavyweights.

Placing second were Preston Cook in the 132s, Daylan Ansons in the 148s, Gus Gonzales in the 242s and Logan Flores in the 275s.

Levi Pearson came in third in the 181s while Raul Eberhardt was fourth in the 242s.

For the Lady Lions, Emera Lombrana led the way with a first-place finish in the 114s as did Kynley Martin in the 181s.

Leslie Rios placed second in 220s, Sidney Adkins came in third in the 132s and fourth-place efforts belonged to Kendall Ratliff in the 132s and Emily Diaz in the 181s.
