On Monday, the American Southwest Conference announced its 13th player of the week honors of the season and Howard Payne University’s Armonie Ramey was recognized as the ASC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Howard Payne junior guard Armonie Ramey (Dallas, Texas) averaged 20.0 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game for the Yellow Jackets over two games. Ramey scored 26 and grabbed 12 rebounds versus Mary Hardin-Baylor and then scored 14 and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds in a win over UT Dallas. He also averaged 3.0 steals per game and 2.5 assists per game for the week and is leading the ASC in steals (3.8) and rebounds (8.8) on the year.
